DIY Floor tiling Advice please

Hi Guys

I am just about to start my floor ( DIY ) with a natural stone the inter locking sort with a mesh back pretty expensive so I dont want to mess up,after reading about 6mm & 12mm ply and cracking grout got me worried. I have used 6mm ply screwed down every 6inch square on to new floor boards which are on top of new joists. does anyone have any sugestions regards to adhesive and what do you think regarding my ply 6mm, does fully flexible adhesive mean fully flexible even when dry? Sorry if any of this sounds silly but tiling is a new string to my DIY bow.

Hi mate,

On this job i would consider using the ditra matting as a decoupling membrane especially as it`s natural stone. 2 part flexi adhesive and flexi grout as well. Hopefully someone with more experience will back me up on this, you may get away with spf if you use ditra.
