Here's one I was asked today when I was in Home base picking up tiles for a customer.
Guy asked me you a tiler, yea, he said he was doing a small bit of tiling work but did not like the grey grout he had bought thought it was to light in colour and would it be OK to mix the grout with some black hammerite paint he had to darken it, put him right said Deluxe would be better :lol:.

Whats the most stupid thing you have ever been asked.

tell him to get to B&Q and buy a bag of Buildfix (Mapei) Charcoal grout.... I should have realised that the hint was in the name... char "coal" My hallway grout came out a bit too dark :lol:

I once used food colouring to dye a pair of ivory shoes, but that's not the point of this thread

Did you want to know the most stupid things customers ask? Or just stupid questions from people in general?

Tiling Question - There was a thread on here a couple of weeks ago that asked what size trowel should be used as they were about to get paid for tiling the whole of the downstairs of a friends house!!!
