Do you keep your tools in van.....

Never ever take tools out of my van unless i need room for materials or something, don't even lock it to be honest and sometimes leave keys in it overnight, not to worried as there next to no break in's around these woods, i will be getting a lock for the steering wheel tomorrow as im heading over to sheffield on sunday to work and not sure what that area's like.

I think Dan has seen the back of my van, If anyone is so desperate to nick some tools from me, they would have to attend a HSE course first. Just opening the back door is a health risk.

I would post some pics, but my TF street cred would go out the window:lol: then again it's a working van:yikes:

that must be heartbreaking chris, never mind the big expensive items, all the little tools in your box accumulated over the years cost a fortune and are hard to replace. i don't think i'd have the will power to take the tools out every night, that would be enough to make me give up

This is all we keep in the back....

Its a bit of a stuggle - But it packs down and fits!

We have to travel light - Due to petrol costs..

No one has bothered to break in. Probably know how hard it would be to resell the gear on.

Leave what I need in the van but any larger cutters are in the lock up on a farm until needed.

On the local news it was reported yesterday that a a complete scaffolding set was nicked from the backyard of one of the largest hotels in Scarborough, 40 tons worth ... someone just went and took it in broad daylight and no-one twigged it... brass necked or what?

G, I've read about stuff like that here....bold as brass, guys show up with a flatbed and load up a bulldozer, or with a tractor trailer and clear out a load of building materials...they act like they're supposed to be there and know what they are doing, and no one asks anything!

Burnley?Is that the same one near Accrington?We moved to Canada in 1967 and I hardly hear of those places anymore,but if thats the Burnley I'm thinking of,my dad used to drive the bus there.

Yep, Rob, it must have happened like that... weird mindset, totally alien... but all the scaffolding posts had brighly painted ends, which is all over the press, they'll have trouble flogging that...
(flogging = British term for selling )
