I always back butter, it's always worked for me, you can really feel the suction when you have to lift a tile up, I always found it a bit risky on walls not to do it infact, even though it takes you longer overall, at least that way there are no issues with dust on the back of the tile either as it "burns" the adh onto the back of the tile :smilewinkgrin::thumbsup:
