The 7mm thickness is the main centre body of tile not the bevelled edges, so any cut corner tiles will always be iffy with even just an 8mm trim - but looking at that edge it looks way morethan (TM) a millimetre on post #8.
As I say I'm a DIYer, but something ain't right with pic 4 (+5) of post 1, in fact I can't quite get my head around it unless that trim is different!?
Adey's post 9/10 is how it should look when done properly as a three way, indeed if the top flat trims were just mitred you can probably tell the vertical would butt up nicely - on the table example at least.

Just found the originals on my laptop (nearly 10 years old) - must have posted it on here once. Remember practicing it thinking I'll need to do them all the time - never done it once! Apart from the time I had to show my Dad 'cos he insisted it was impossible.

I’ve only ever done it a handful of times as pvc trim is outdated and metal trims look so much nicer and clean

To be fair, the guy isn't a tiler. It looks like he's thrown them on (From a distance as well) and the tiling is very dubious at best. The square or 'L' shaped trim looks far better IMO

OMG.... This is an appalling job.
How anybody can go out and do a tiling job like this and at the end of it expect to be paid beggars belief.
IMOI if it were me I'd ping the tiles off the wall and salvage what I can and pay somebody who knows what they're doing to sort the job.
It's no good dissecting the job and this point and saying this is wrong with it and that is wrong with it.....it's now time for damage limitation if you want the job to look half decent. I would be embarrassed to do a job like this for a customer, I recon my 6yr old niece could of done better.
There are loads of great tillers out there but it's just unfortunate you found one who can only talk the talk and not walk the walk.....
Please post pics when it's sorted, be interesting to see the outcome. Good luck my friend,
Regards Dave.

View attachment 95647 View attachment 95648 View attachment 95650 View attachment 95651 Hello everyone. My tiler is fitting bevelled edge metro tiles in my kitchen. I’ve chosen a white gloss pvc quadrant tile trim to match. The outer corner joins don’t look very neat at the moment though and I’m a bit concerned that we should be using corner pieces for a neater finish. I did bring it up this morning but he said the corner join pieces are for DIYers and a professional wouldn’t use them, choosing to mitre and file the rough edges instead. He insists they will look smart when finished but I’m not sure. I’m happy to be wrong! But tomorrow is his last day and I want to make sure everything is definitely going to work out before he does the grouting and it’s too late to make changes. If anyone has a professional opinion that would be great. Thank you! View attachment 95649
Your Tiler refers to himself as a "Professional"
Myself and I'm sure others on here would argue with that!!
To answer your question... No.. It doesn't look ok.:(
And no amount of grouting will change it..
It needs to be stripped back and done again... Probably by someone else to achieve a much more acceptable finish...
IMPO..
