Sorry about flashing that short note on other site Dan,As you know,been a rough year for me,slowly getting back at er,okay,all quotes in the arms,gotcha.My curiosity was just basic,say I'm charging $4per sq foot,$4,50 on the wall-Straight set,(diagonal.50cents per sq foot extra,is that comparable to British prices?I see by your columns you guys are swamped(or so it seems)but if you remember,I was born in Whalley,nursing home,we emmigrated to Canada in 1966 and I"m the only one in the family that hasn't been back for any holidays,I can see a working holiday maybe in my future,don't worry,won't take your guys work,I'll make my own work by offering some of my relatives an opportunity to put some equity on their homes.Anyway,just curious of labor cost difference.I should just send you my price list and you can advise me on our continents differences(but we're still a Commenwealth)it's good to be back,cheers.

Hi Mike, 4 dollars a foot works out to about 30 quid a metre, which (in my area) would be a tad high for a ceramic floor but not every job goes on meterage.

All depends on the job, Mostly daywork for the domestic side for me. There is never enough m2 and a lot of cutting
