Hi Guys. I had my cloakroom floor tiled about two years ago (in polished black ceramic tiles). This year the hallway has been tiled in a polished white tile. I am now having the door to the cloakroom replaced - and would like to move it so it swings the other way. This would leave me with the tile join in the wrong place. Is there a wide brushed steel type threshold that I could fit which would hide the join? Can you recommend a good brand or website.... or would I need to have one custom made? - or leave the door as it is!!! Anything else I need to know before I get the door fitted? Thanks

flat bar threshold would suit here.Buy from any carpet shop or DIY store ,use pink grip and place in position between tiles and let it set.

having not seen the job ...if its just a grout line width then why not just Silicon it with the same colour of Silicon as the grout...Mapei is the brand and CTD sell all colours of Silicon.

Hi Brian. Its quite wide. The tiles were professionally fitted and are beautiful. Moving the door is desirable - not essential - but I need to bridge at least 8cm - so long as the colour difference is disguised it will look great. I just want to make sure it gets covered properly and doesn't keep lifting 😱)

so you're moving the door to the other side of the casing? is there any way you could move the door rebates so that your door swung desirable way or could you move your hinges to the other side of the door?

why not get another piece of tile fitted in the 8cm gap then?

Thanks guys for helping 😱) Sorry - there isn't a gap of 8cm - the join between black and white will be 8cm in the wrong place (yes - I want to move the door to the other side of the casing). I did ask my tiler at the time (that he fitted the white tiles)if he could take up the black tiles and move the join to where I wanted it to be. He said he couldn't remove the black tiles that were already down as his cutter was obstructed by the door casing. Also there is underfloor heating under those black tiles - so I really just want to cover the area with a threshold strip - I just want to do the job properly and not be getting the super glue out every weekend 😱) Thanks again Night!!!
