Hi,All

I'm a visitor here from the Plumbers Forum and I need some advice. I was tiling a bathroom and was called away on an emergency burst pipe call which meant that I had to drop everything and go straight away.

The problem is that when I got back 2 hours later, the grout had dried in to the tiles and no amount of scrubbing would make it budge. I even used a scourer with some heavy duty cleaner from the big shed. These tiles have a embossed pattern which covers 100% of the tile and the grout has worked its way into the patterns.

Is there any way to clean this grout from these tiles without damaging them and is there a mechanical disc available for my grinder or drill which could help make it easier?

Standard smoother tiles I've cleaned and sealed many times, but these tiles are a nightmare!

Hi,
I would try Lithofin Cement Away and an emulsifying pad, might take a couple of attempts but should do the job.

Did you wash the grout off the tiles or is it thick?
Click on the LTP link on the left hand side of the screen, they should be able to sort you out
