Never been keen on the dewalt drills, batterys never seem to last.

Not like my Milwaukee:drool5:

Li-ion is the only long lasting ones now i think.

Never had any probs with my Dewalt. My last drill lasted 6 years with same three batteries

Damn good price and with 2 batteries you really can't go wrong.
I know quite a few guys who use dewalt.
They love showing it too by wearing dewalt clothing,lol.

I picked up one similar (maybe an older version) at a house clearance sale, 2 batteries and charger for, ahem, 2 quid my eldest lad has it for doing his "work" and jobs round the house with, (aged 5):smilewinkgrin:

Start them young!!!! Love it!!! If it's the 18v, I got one last year for the same price and its a cracking drill for the money, use it every day for one job or another and it never lets me down.

When I first started out I got a bosch green 18v and thought I'd got a good deal, how wrong!!!!!! The difference between the two is staggering, great drill for £100 I say.

My combi drill dewalt i8v is still going stong after 7yrs after plenty of abuse like there grinders to.

Fraid to say im on of those tools with Dewalt clothing, in my defence its cheaper than snickers and I at least look profesional.

i use makita li-on drills too... but a £100 for a dewalt hammer drill with 2 batteries, then thats as good a deal as you can get. easily get 5 years out of it and then stick in on ebay and get £50!!!

Nowt wrong with looking the part if you can back it up with your work Customers like it, projecting a profesional and tidy image can be beneficial. Hate going on site to see other fixers in old jeans/joggers and tee caked in addy seems to be only our trade that suffers from this. would put me of employing/contracting somebody.

I started off with Boshh (They got nicked off stand) so swapped to Dewalt. Worked with Dewalt for 3 years but agree the batteries do seem to conk out quickly.
Now got a Makita and its Ok but not brilliant.

The dewalt is a good drill but the battery needed charging often.

Not always convenient!

Milwaukee li -ion for me there excellent.Used to use dewalt and had no problems whatsoever.The drill finally died after 7 yrs of abuse,so for £100 with 2 batteries you can't go wrong.Personally after using li-ion batteries i'd never go back,also the dewalt li-ion batteries fit all the old range of dewalt kit and use the same chargers.
