drilling in glass mosaic tiles

I first put this question in the new members forum but was told it would be better here.

I am thinking of putting glass mosaic tiles up for a splashback on the wall behind my hob. Would appreciate any help regarding drilling small holes to attach things like a rod to hang cooking utensils and a small illuminated shelf. Is this possible please? I assume one would use a diamond tip drill?

What size are your mosaics? Your best bet is to use a diamond coring bit, available from 365 drills (forum sponsor, link to the left of the page)
