What do you do with your free hand ????

I have a mate who used to be an HGV driver - no word of a lie, he used to knock one off when he was driving. Copy of Escort on seat, pants down and away !!!!!
Scary thought, wouldn't have liked to be on the motorway at the same time as him :icon9:

Hi con953 you jogged my memory, as my first test was with a chieftain tank and like you, i passed first time.

Wow.... I mean I LIKE driving but I don't 'Love' driving:wink_smile:

I had 3 lessons with a proper instructor, but lots & lots of practice with family in the car before the actual test.

Passed both theory and practical first time around.

I used my own car for the actual test, (no dual controls) so it is just as well I didn't miss any people crossing the road or anything....

Most scary part was the emergency stop, I managed to lock both front wheels and have a straight line skid/slide..... But at the end of the test, when questioned, the examiner said I didn't fail on that because I made an effort to control the skid and kept the car under control........

I'm guessing there is some room for mistakes on the test, as long as you don't do anything that is dangerous to yourself or other road users.
