wow, yes, together with a layer of mosaic mesh they would do!! Like the way they stack I couldn't faff about with laying the pieces - just spread them out with gloved hands and leave to dry..

What about making loads of shelves with insect netting on a roll.. this would be flat and allow water to drain..

Staple chicken wire/mesh onto 2 pieces of timber.the distance between timbers is up to you,as is the length.brace timbers with smaller timber to support weight. it makes sence in my head ! one on top of the other, if you see what i mean.

the centre pieces would go laft to right.

hi i would try some form of hot air blower ducted to the underside of a vented tray.maybe the sieve with some flexi vent pipe.you could use a cheap argos fan heater,even a hair dryer. it depends on what area you need, double tray it, how much heat etc.

Won't need it, good idea but overkill unless I'd be in a real rush, but thanks!

I have some insect mesh, Dave, I use it at times for tiny mosaic work but really wanted to avoid having to make anything, gathered there must be something cheap and easy out there, to save time, too.

As I can see for now, haven't looked at the prices for the bakery trays yet, but I'll get a few of the garden sieves, and a couple of bakery trays if they are not too dear, I might ask at the local bakery where they get theirs, ... :hurray, brilliant, thanks for all your input guys, this has been bugging me for ages!
