I have no problem talking you through it. But you need to unstand if you go down the twister route that they where only designed as a maintenance pad. First though I would need to know why the marble has gone "dull" in the first place! To rectify the problem you must first understand why the problem has occured.

Maintenance? (What Cleaner you have been using)
Spills Stains?
Scratches?

Lets start there and see how I can help you. But also understand what Sir Ramic is saying by the time you hired a Rotary machine no more than 175RPM and a wet vac and bought the stuff you need to do it is it going to be worth your time and money. Pictures of the floor will help as well BTW.

I'm with Siramic on this one.
I'd seriously go with the Marble guys, they know their stuff!
I'd get him in to do the floor, and then you can 'see' how it's done and ask questions whilst on site. Marble is fickle stuff and you could easily make a floor worse by a poor product selection.
I've been tiling for years, and i'd much rather give this sort of job over to the experienced chaps.

I fully agree with Sir Ramic too. Marble polishing is not for beginners and can get very expensive to try on a whim.

If you want to learn a skill/trade like marble polishing go to a proper school to learn marble polishing and you will find that products like twister pads give extremely inconsistant results depending on the marble and cause of the dullness.
