The tiles you have are not polished porcelain and will not have a transit wax on them.

You have as you say is a through bodied porcelain with no glaze finish and all they need is cleaning and a suitable impregnator..

The face of the tile is the same colour as the back/sides etc.. a true full bodied porcelain..:thumbsup:
