@Localtiler I've just got the 17mt prowarm, next budget up for just over that price.
Will ask them next time I order why there is such a different with ebay price!
Not tried the cheapest on.

I've used a cheap kit before, not sure what make it was, but it was a lot less user friendly than pro warm and warm up. Thicker stiffer wire. Might be the same with there cheaper kits. I'm gonna sign up for sure

Well where I am (insert smily) we have a lot of options on how we do heating systems. We have wire that gets covered with a leveling cement, we have wires attached to mats that get covered with thinset, we have wires that are imbeded in mats, we have mats that you put wires in... I am at a loss in the conversation, but I commented because it doesn't really matter which way yo do it, it is under the tiles you are fixing, so my thought on the matter is using the cheapest option is the worst option. If you are trying to find the best price on "x", then it would make it easier. ...along with the book I just wrote, quick little inquiry, does UFH mean under floor heat? I really don't know, but thought it did..

there are several options available as you say , the cables are normally guaranteed for 5-10 years depending on which brand you buy , this includes the mats , I was told there are only 2 manufacturers of the actually heating cables in europe and most brands purchase under liscense , the only thing with a short guarantee are the thermostatic probes normally 2 years with most brands , it is why the schluter ditra heat recommend fitting 2 probes on their mats for longevity as in their system you cant easily replace a probe , some manufacturers recommend fitting a plastic conduit to facilitate a replacement probe should one ever be required which is what i normally do when using a cheaper product , so then it just comes down to the digital programmer which is the final part of the equation which is more to do with looks to be honest as most are programmable and some are controlled by mobile phone apps , prices can vary immensely on the systems we have over here and most of it is simply marketing and branding as the nuts and bolts of the systems are extremely similar in terms of performance and manufacturers warranties hence why I asked who is doing the best deals right now

No worries Gary. I think my comment came across wrong. I think if doing a heated floor, using the cheapest product is gonna end poorly. Finding the best deal on the best product is a different story, and that is probably what you meant, and I misunderstood. I was honestly lost on UFH as an acronym, but it makes sense. I do quite a few heated floors in my area, I like the Nuheat cables with schluter or prodesso membranes. I think schluter adding an extra sensor is a good idea, but good product support is the best insurance, and the low bidder doesn't always offer that. Again, no harm meant by my initial post, apologies if taken wrong.
