Hi All,

Newvie member here. Not a tiler but like to be informed about choices etc.

I'm doing a bathroom from scratch in quite a small room (1.8m by 3.4m).

I'd like to put some underfloor electric heating in under probably tiles or possibly something like Amtico. THere will be an additional radiator in the room (not a towel warmer) but I'd like it to contribute something to the warmth.

Can someone point me in the direction of some recommended makes?

Plus do I want matt or cable for something like this. The layout isn't complicated - bath at one end, toilet and sink on the left.

Thanks all.

Hi ,yeah if it,s straight forward shape to the room ie oblong you could use the matting system,it,s a bit quicker than the cable method.Make shaw you don,t fit any sanitary ware over the mattered area.Pop down to topps they do a leaflet with dimmensions on,and a demo dvd of how to fit,And don,t forget you need a part p registerd sparky to connect you up,

good luck.

Super quick answers - thanks guys.

The only thing that's worrying me with a matt is that the toilet shares a wall with a sink but will protrude more than the sink (say 65 vs 45). If it must be a rectangular matt, coverage would be governed by the toilet's dimension - hence leaving the area in front of the sink unheated.

Is this right or can matts be trimmed in some way?
