emails??????????????????

how come when we get emails to tell us someone has replied to a question posted on a thread, we don't get the msg now?
this is pretty much all that comes through b4, now we have to log back in to see wots been posted instead of just seeing the reply such as "welcome to the forums"............. instead its just this!!!

There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again.

I changed it yesterday so people log back in more. Same with the private messages now too, you'll need to use the forum system to see the actual message.

I tell ya what made me think to do this.... the amount of replies I get in my email inbox from people replying to the email informing them that their topic has been replied to was unreal. So now those members will need to click the link to find out what the post or private message says so they'll reply to it using the forum instead of sending me an email telling me something that I know nothing about.

It saves me emailing them back to tell them click the link, then possibly emailing / messaging the person they really needed to get their message to to tell them about the situation.

All confusing.

I may switch the message thing back on in the future, I'm just trying to get the less computer orientated members used to clicking to check the forum.

ok m8, it's just when it comes through the email it show what has been replied (ie) welcome to the forum, this doesn't need answering too really! but another thread could answer the question! it's probably just me, but i'll have to get use to it m8! sorry for moaning,i'm just idle!!
