emulsifying pads

does any1 know if you can get emulsifying pads for a var.speed grinder? i am wanting to restore a minton floor. it's only 3m2. been thinking of getting a big machine for floor cleaning but it seems a lot of expence for just a small floor. thanks for your time.

Dunno about the pads borgie but is this the floor you just taken up? Did it come up ok?

the floor is up and i'm cleaning it at the moment, just the cement then i am going to fix it before giving it a good scrubbing. if i get really bored i will clean it before fixing! some of it came up fine. some was a bugger . had no time ti grind them out as i had three guys waiting with to knock down a wall on to floor. they thought it would take me 30 mins, took 3 hrs for 4m2. should have enought to make a good 2x1m2 floor. diddn't get many of the short thin gold,yellow ones though. may have to get some reclaimed 1's to patch it up.

I've actully glued them (emulsifying pads) to a sanding disc before and then used them on my orbital sander

i was offered the floor for free. but had to take it asap ,within hrs, as the owner was waiting to knock the hallway walls down and skip the floor. If i'd had time i would have cleaned it 1st in situ. I have pulled it up tile by tile now i'm cleaning off all the cement tile by tile. then I will change the design a little then re-fix it and give a good cleaning and seal. I am still looking for a new home for this floor. it may have to go in my mums house.
I will have a try at sticking the pads on my polisher, should do the trick, thanks doug.
