End of an era

While driving through Balham last week I popped in to Udny mosaics,they have been selling mosaics in london for over 40 years and the guy behind the counter told me they were closing up at xmas , an end of an era for mosaics in London

Your kidding me? this is just terrible news, they have saved my bacon on so many contracts in the past I cant believe it.

2 of his guys are retiring in January, 2 of the ceramic mosaic factories are closing down in Asia due to the recession in the U.S so he has decided to close up and sell his premises it is a real shame as they were such good value and really knew the mosaic business

Bought mosaics off them when no one else stocked mosaics about 1978 - such a great name UDNY - such a great shame - now I feel guilty for not getting more from them.

I used to deal with these people and always found them very helpful and got a good service
