Estate Agents?

[On one]

Has anyone got any good or bad experiences of Estate agents? We had a valuer round the other day from a regional chain of estate agents to value our house,unfortunately I had to work that day so the missus had to meet him on her own........anyway he must have googled my name coz he knew what I did for a trade and mentioned that the Estate agents shop needed some work doing to it and actually said ''you scratch my back and I will scratch yours:yikes:

Many years ago had to sell my Dads house, changed from one agent, who was utter garbage to another and I do wonder who side there really on, felt he was working for the buyer not me the seller...trust them as far as I throw em.

I would have liked to report him to the area manager,but don't want to rock the boat too much,just in case we have to use them to buy a house. His comments will be archived in the old grey matter for the moment and will be quickly recalled if required at a later date.

In the final stages of selling and buying at the minute. All I can say is that if you think estate agents are bad wait til the solicitors get involved. Don't know how anyone can be so absolutely useless with a total disregard for their clients yet happily charge £100 an hour to not return phone calls.
