Hello,

I have just ordered 28 Sqm of the following product called "Zeus Stone" which should be arriving in the new year. Has anybody ever laid any of this before? It is a stone product but seems it does not require sealing as it is much denser than limestone. The samples they sent looked pretty good. I have tried googling it and have not been able to find any opinions.

The adhesive recommended was "cercal" which I had never heard of, anybody used this? It seemed a bit pricey at £24 for 20kg, and I was thinking along the lines of the Dunlop large format & natural stone which seems reasonably priced.

They recommended 7x20kg adhesive, and 3x5kg grout. Does that seem to be right for the size?!

Interested to hear any thoughts... If you have come across these products grateful if you let me know your thoughts before I break out the tools and my tiling for dummies book ...

Cheers!

7 bags of 20kg's sounds right, most probably the grout too but you have not said what size the tiles are, hence how many grout lines there will be.

Never heard of the stone either.

Thanks! Sorry I should have mentioned they are 400x400 and 9mm thick.

Stone going down in basement that has been dug-out to gain extra head height. Underfloor heating (i hope - not been able to test yet!) via in-screed electric cable laid in final screed.

Sorry never heard of the tiles or adhesive but the amount addy sounds right. The electric cable in the screed, how deep is it from the surface/is it laid on the floor then screeded, how deep is the screed The only under floor heating I've screeded onto was plastic piped water heating with fibres in the mix (screed)never heard of the electric laid in final screed.
