Lads and ladesses,

I've searched this addy but not really got much info other than its dirt cheap and its made by Plaice.

My question is 'would you use it'? by that I mean would you use it if the customer supplied it? obviously you have your preferred choice of adhesive but if you were told to use this would you lose sleep over it?

Cheers DC.

I've used it b4 but never had a call back but that could be because there scared to call me back or because I was lucky.

It may be because you have only been tiling a few months, too, Prem? Just because a cheap adhesive may not be as good as a more expensive version, it doesn't mean that it will fail immediately. It could be years before the adhesive displays signs of failure or breakdown.

I'm noy saying that it will fail, just that any poor or inadequate (DIY'er) adhesive could fail in a shorter timeframe to more expensive and well established brands.

Cheers guys but i think you missed the picture. The customer was sold it along with grout, homelux matting and spray sealer when they bought the 24m2 trav.

I've no choice but to use it on this job and the job I used it b4 was agreeably just last month. But again the customer had been sold it when buying tiles.

But you say Jay that I should find an addy with a good rep and thats kinda what I was doing buddy, trying to find out what Excel Bond is like.

If you guys 'In the know' advise to not buy it then i'd not. After all my local Tile Giant dose pucker discount for me and i'm not one to penny pinch over quality!

Thanks again for the advise fellas!

Was the spray sealer Sealguard?
That's a temp sealer so basically waste of time...Just my opinion!
