They don't sound conflicting they both will leave expansion joints as far as second option schluter do internal corner expansion joints in form of a trim you can always call them for advise and they will talk you through there products I think a gap and then a neat Silicon bead would suffice

But from what i can see, you appear to have done the floor first so no that looks like internal plastic trim for doing the insides of windows etc.......
What I'm describing is a trim which will allow up a few mm of lateral movement from heat change, moisture (breathing not water ingress - tank for that) & vibration.
Have a look at any tile run over 4.5metres in shopping malls etc & you'll see an expansion / movement joint to stop the tiles tenting. I'm questioning the need for an internal perimeter movement joint or just to leave a gap the depth of the tiles & fill with Silicon to create a 'soft' trim. Does that explain it any better?

Thanks Matt,
If the gap with Silicon will suffice I'll run with that. Can't see any problem with the schluter trim but obvs not needed for the size of the floor I'm doing. Sorry Antonio i cant see the possibility of movement on any of the pictures you showed me (the trim does look very nice but is not suitable for my requirements). If this causes a major argument I'll delete the thread because I'm just here for advice so i can do the best work possible.

J

It is useless, for the movement.
