If i haven't reboarded a window reveal to tile it then i build a timber frame knocked inti place around the edge of the window reveal.
Square it up and level it out and let the timber over hand the edge of the window a little. Take your tiles up to the timber. Once set, remove the timber frame, cut your trim to suit, then cut and fix your tiles around the inside of the window. Use a square (about 6 quid from wickes) to ensure your angles.

Squaring up and tiling a window reveal..............done!
