Just spoke to a rep from ardex who claims the concrete slab does not need sealing, priming or any form dpm prior to tiling when using ardex x 77 adhesive.

So this product eliminates the need to seal,prime, acts as a salt barrier and a damp proof membrane and an tile adhesive to boot. Good stuff.!
