extra flexible grouting help needed

I've a tiled floor that has been grouted using flexible grout, however it has cracked and worked its way loose. If I re-grout, is there anything I can add to the flexible grout mix that may help cope with the slight movement that must be there ? Thanks for any advice given.

If you have used flexible grout and it has cracked then i think you need to see why this is happening before you attempt to re-grout..

if it's bal use admix solution!

You can't add the admix to already flexible grout...it doesn't like it.

grout cracking could be a number of things like not mixing correctly is probably one of the most common things

it will be down to the sub base the tiles have been fixed to.ive been doing some maintenance work for a housebuilder and some of the floors i have been to have the same issues plus cracking along the joints of the ply.had to strip the tiles and add more screws(they were 6'' apart but ive made them 4'' apart now so no movement)then retile with flexible adhesive and grout with a flexible grout. dont think adding an additive would help as thats what flexi grout is anyway(i think:smilewinkgrin

You can add an additive to standard (non flexy) grout and usually it will be more flexible than a "flexy" grout...If you see what I mean...!!!!

i know where your coming from there mate.i suppose it all depends how much additive you add to normal grout it will be more flexible than pre-made flexi.just not to over-do it and get a good strong flexible mix
