Cheers me dears, much appreciated. I know theres always someone worse off but its hard not to worry when bills come in, certainly keeps you on your toes.
Alot of jobs advertised are agency.

Ive been contacted by a carpenter, Ross Kirkland, who saw this thread and I'll be doing a days work for him hopefully next week and if all goes well there'll be more work.

Oh the perks of the job, hey? The panic as the work starts to slow down, the sleepless nights as you start to wonder if the phone will every ring again... And then, right on cue, the unorganised pratt that needs you to do a years work in 3 weeks and then the stress of trying to fit all the work in.

I wouldn't want to do anything else

So true Rich, hit the nail squarely on the head!

I,m in the same boat, had a good January but nothing in 1st week of Feb, tiled a 2.5m2 bathroom floor with the pan and pedestal to cut round last week, got a doorstep to look at but i wont be entertaining that this time of the year with the frost, oh and a rake out and regrout 2 walls above a bath to look at, its so quiet. 28 years ago i started on £25 a week YTS i'm close to averaging the same money now lol.
Good luck to you

Geezo Steve, no joy with JT mate will keep ye posted on that other job this heat matt fiasco has held things up & some doughnut took down a supporting wall in the basement dropped 27mm needs to come back up glad I didnt tile the floor above yet!

Three great fixers idle cant belive it yet theres plonkers out there destroying peoples houses unbeliveable!

Chin up as Rich says you's will propably be struggling to keep up soon, famine then feast as they say
