Time's Ran Out

The wife and I visited Scarborough for a weekend in the mobile home (van) once many years ago - Cannon & Ball were the stars on the theatre ( which didn't open till the week after!) and with the rain we went to the pictures - It was 007 Roger Moore. I suppose it was because we'd just got married but it was a graet weekend.
Look forward to going back later this years with some waterproof tiling boards.

If a differing opinion is voiced its considered a go...lol...i did go to butlins for the day..it was dire...hence the many trips to newquay cornwall/isle of wight/dorset/devon...even Yarmouth....Scarborough is luckily to far for me...its a little bit bleak

Flabble, you pulled Dean up earlier regarding his grammar. I will re type your post for you using the correct punctuation, no charge of course, I am just like that.

Ahem..........

If a difference of opinion is typed it seems to be considered to go against the grain. (Laugh out loud).
I did visit Butlins for the day but it was dire, hence the many trips to Newquay, Cornwall, The Isle of White, Dorset and Devon.....even Yarmouth. Scarborough is too far for me plus its a little bleak in my opinion.
Innit.

Here endeth the English lesson me auld china.

You should maybe work for the tourist board!....youve intrigued me:thumbsup:

 Did you know that Scarborough was voted the most enterprising town in Europe a few months back? We have free high speed wireless internet connection in the Southbay, so bringing your laptop is no problem, there is still the old stuff, like gaming arcades and fish&chips and out of date cinemas, but we now have an open air theatre to sit 7000, the Queen opened it the other day, the biggest in Europe I believe, the world cup (England games) are shown for free there on a big screen, too, the is the Stephen Joseph Theatre with local Alan Ayckburn West end plays getting first showing here, and an Olympic standard swimming pool, state of the art gym (we have quite a few here) and multi-screen cinema to come soon, there is a purpose built and floodlit skate park by the sea, it goes on and on, honestly, it's buzzing.
I love this place!!! :hurray:

ive been blinded by my own ignorance and preconcieved notions towards the place,i suppose 1 chance visit(which it was) really doesnt do it justice...its like when i first met pinky"aka dom...at first i thought certain things about him...and now ive come to know im justified in those thoughts.....but as for scarborough,i may pay that place a visit...im sure pinky wouldnt want me knocking on His door..

Just having a bit of fun fipple... I quite agree, Scarborough used to be dire, and Butlins!!... good grief! but it has changed so much, there is a real buzz now, great music scence, council gardeners deserve a medal (they win enough prices) good cafes and restaurants, a different milieu all together. Strongly recommended.
Scarborough blues club at 'The Cask' top people play there these days
