Actually the rest of that story was that the Volvo belonged to one of the painters. It was a crappy old thing and worth no more than a grand. The only damage was that the L200 knocked of the Volvo plastic boot spoiler. The site agent offered to get some new clips to fasten it back on ( actually he was going to no nail it back on, until he was rumbled) but the guy insisted on taking it to a Volvo specialist...he came back with an estimated of almost £800.
The painter was told he was no longer needed on the job and wouldnt get any more work....he was a complete idiot though !

Hilux 001.jpg I loved my Hilux back in Oz. Even though it was only 2WD, fantastic engine.

I really like both tbh Dan, but just at the mo, there seems to be better deals on Navara. Could all change tomorrow tho'

doug, this is exactly what i'm going through choosing my next car. hubby is def having a vectra. me, I swing between Suzuki Jimny, Landrover Disco and Landrover Freelander almost weekly! tonight on the way home from work I nearly got run over by a Fastrac and decided that a Jimny would have suited me better in that situation!

That's very very nice! :D

Liz,

I rented a Jimny in Ibiza and nearly tipped it a few times. I could dangle my arm out the side door whilst driving and touch both the front and back wheels!!! (Long arms like but still short wheel base).

Wouldn't touch another with a barge pole. Weak gearing, weak engine, can tip easy, wouldn't protect you in a smash, loose value too quickly yada yada yada. Not much going for 'em IMO. Good for ibiza with no roof mind. Was fun. But like as if you were doing a dare kind of way though lmao.
