Just setup last month and have just landed my first job,Ive read bits about priming do you have to prime everything? Im tiling walls which are plaster board and the floor which is ply. Ps this site has been a great help.

I would give it a coat of bal prime, the only things i'v come across that dont need priming are backer board, and when tiling on tiles. There's proberly more though. Also i beleve there are adhesives that dont require the use of primer.

It depends on the substrate, and the adhesive. Read on the bags/buckets, and you'll know when to prime, and not to prime.

Alot can be learned from simply reading product specs, guides, etc.

always prime ply and use flexi adhesive, grout i dont prime plasterboard
unless im using powder others will say prime everthing to be safe
