[turtle-tiling]

hi there just after a bit of info and advice from people that already know. (creep creep) doing a bathroom (without a bath just shower cubicle) 12m2 3 walls straight forward one tricky wall window basin and toilet with loads of cuts. tiles are 200mm width 250mm length and border. just wondering what would most people charge (father in laws brother) have to travel 80 miles round trip a day. also skirting boards down so would i go from the lowest part put tile on lowest to get my datum then work out my cuts everywhere. what adhesive would you use and grout 3 walls solid, shower wall plasterboard have said tank it but he said not to bother any advice would be gratefully appreciated

hi m8,use a gauge rod,which will help you with setting out and this way you will know where all your cuts will be vertically and horizontally.Charge whatever you feel you should 20m2 is fair plus materials and of course you have traveling expenses,so dont undercut yourself m8.I would take skirting boards off as it will give you a better finish.If tiles are ceramic then use tubbed acrylic adhesive (i use sontex) or if tiles are porcelain then you need to use a porcelbond powdered adhesive and mix it yourself.
