Generally a lurker on the net but thought i'd better post or may get deleted as the administrator says .

Great tips on here to steer me in the right direction, currently on a bathroom refurb, new floors walls ceiling etc

No good discounts at tile giant even though i have a trade account, Toppstiles could not wait to give 30% discount
across the board whether you have an account or not !. b&q trade account seems the best by a small margin for adhesives/grout.

Think it may be getting a little tough out there for suppliers/retailers .

I am interested in the current economy would like to hear any comments on how things are work wise domestic/contract

I believe the days of decent discounts have gone for the tradesman now as all suppliers just want to sell their wares to anyone who 'shows them the money'.

I know one supplier who charges the same for a bag of addy to trade or retail and another who is opposite who, when asked for there trade price list did'nt have one and could've give a price for there adhesive..??????
