Hi All,
My first quarry tile job has come in and would like some advice.
Its a small front porch (1.86m2), already has quarry tiles but painted over.
In the main footfall area, the paint has worn away back to the tiles.
Now, the customer wants the area tiled over with quarry tiles again. The current stuff that is down looks to be in good shape and im happy that it will form a reasonable substrate to tile over.
Having never worked with quarry before, my questions are
- Whats needed to prepare the surface for tiling?
- Do i seal the new tiles prior to cutting and laying?
- Do i seal off with multiple coats of sealer and wax?
Great forum - thanks in advance!
