I took my first trip to CTD today. Well impressed at the stock and the prices and the service. Was given a tour by Peter Deegan (asst. Mgr). Very nice chap. Must have spent an hour with me. He informed me of all the offers and signed me up as a trader.

I spent £584 on 30mtrs Durabase, 10xWeber SPF rapid grey, 10xWeber SPF white, 10xHomelux 10mm metal trim, 2 bags of slc with 2x bottles of liquid. 1xsuperflex 10kg grey grout.

I’ve just worked out the same materials (but substituting with Toppfix addy and level it one slc) would have cost me exactly £784 !!!!!

Plus I get points on my CTD loyalty card……………plus I get points for buying Weber…….plus I get 250 personalised business cards, and when I run out of them I get more!!!

My advice to any of you that have Topps shares – SELL THEM NOW!!!!!!

I've about 20 tile shops to pass before going to CTD. I've a good relationship with the guys at Topps. They know if they don't match CTD's prices, I'll just go there cause its not that far away. They match with minimum fuss! ;)

would be intresting to know how many new trade customers topps get, CTD seem to be going the extra mile, havnt got one near me, but would certainly have a look in if one pops up..

I had my first experience with CTD last week too, at the Stirling branch. Very impressed with their range and level of service. One thing that miffed me a bit was that customer was to pre-pay for the materials and when I phoned Carlisle depot they said it wasn't company policy for a third person, ie me, to collect materials and that customer had to pick them up themselves. Stirling branch overcame this obstacle though.

I have just started using CTD aswell. Adhesive wise can not fault their prices. Really like the weber products which if i am right used to be Howtex which they bought out. Worth the extra 20 minutes to do a large shop. Also try Al muradown brand white rapid set if there is one local. I understand it is granfix and you can certainly negotiate a deal which makes it a very attractive.

They delivered a tube of jasmine Silicon to me at the property I was working at - 40 minutes after I phoned them.
Felt a bit cheeky but meant I could finish the job and get paid a day early so thought I'd ring them on the off chance one of their vans was knocking about nearby, and it was!

Doing fixer Friday on the 22nd Feb at Stirling. Was in a couple of weeks ago and can't fault the service and prices. TG wake up. Buy 3 mapei get 1 free. 4 weber get 1 free. Agree with Macten though, getting stuff delivered if u run out is a bonus. Saves time all round.
ha ha, if I'd known they did that I wouldn't have taken my trailer and let them deliver it up to Fortingall, 30 bags made the axle grunt a bit:lol:
