Right for 2010 im going to start running again. Havent done any running for 8 months due to coming off my dirt bike and damaging my knee, it feels better know so thought i would start with a gentle 3 mile run later today.

How far and how many times did you run before the spill ? Me, I'm sort of active all the time now, so much so that I've lost the weight I put on when I was quiet, I've lost a stone and a half and 2" off my waist, back down to a 30" waist :yikes: :20: :20:

I was running 3 times a week, 5 miles per run, so need to start slowly for a wek or so to get fit again.

Work is the only exercise I get . Those 2nd storey bathrooms are great exercise aren't they

At my age exercise is a dangerous word!
Thursday is my most energetic day 2 trips to the Post Office to collect my pension!
However I do manage to walk to the van every day.

Nice, steady away, no need to over do it 🙂

Tell me about it, plots we were doing just before Christmas were 4 storey with no proper stairs, handball all the tiles in off the pallet ( 5 pallets ) mostly 600 x 600mm porc, 3 pallets of addy and slc, then once it was in, lower it by rope to the basement, 80m2 in the basement floor alone, all that graft before work begins :20: :20: no wonder I'm as thin as a racing snake now

Ah, memories, from early twenties to the age of forty three. I trained six days a week( martial arts instructor) had to give it up. Got tired of getting my butt kicked.:dizzy2:

i wish i struggle to walk 500m2 now as my legs go dead from my knees down and i have to sit down for 30 seconds and wait for the feeling to come back, still at least i can still tile at the moment,

Well i have just run 3 miles through a forestry commission wood near me, and i have burned 300 calories off so my garmin forerunner 305 tells me..:hurray:

garmin forerunner 305 :- There great arnt they!!

Good on you enduro. This time of year get all the new years resalutions out and up the gym only 80% stick with it but as long as they try year in year out they have a chance of making it in to the 20%.

If you have been running 15 miles per week you are already of a good standard but I would advise you not going to hard to start. I've been there and dont that and it will only set your recovery back.

Do you listen to music when you run or are you a purest?

My eagerly awaited return to a bike will take place tomorrow.not sure how many miles ill do because ill have my wife and 2 daughters with me too.i have the wireless computer set up on bike anyway.well done enduro
