ive a floor with deflection (floor boards) so am i right in thinking over-boarding would cure the deflection ? didn't think that over boarding cures deflection? would of thought that the floor would need to be taken up and made rigid first ?
That would depend on the level of deflection. Overboarding with 18mm ply will go a long way to making the floor rigid but it depends entirely on how much movement you have in the first place. If it is severe, then you may have no choice but to lift the boards and start again.
