Floor advice and price

Doing a lot of bathroom work in a really big house which is being extended, just finished one bathroom and large utility room floor, now been asked to quote for kitchen/diner floor which is 6x6 mtrs (36sqmtrs) water underfloor heating is going in and will be screeded over, customer has previously supplied addy (not bad stuff excell) deal he has with local tile shop, will tell him it has to be flexible and the grout. Anything else to think about with it being such a large area and ufh? there will be an island kitchen in the middle so that will break it up a little.

What tiles are being fixed?

Screed will need some time to dry out, 1-2 mm per day.
A decoupling mat be be wise as well.

Thanks Diamond, just what I was thinking with it being such a large area and ufh putting ditra down first may be a sensible option, there will be no need for an expansion gap will there? and also grumpy Iv'e no idea yet what tile there having the ones in the utility were just ceramic.

You should have expansion around the perimeter of the floor.

do you know what type of screed is going down. i.e sand cement . gyvlon

should imagine it will be sand&cement as builders will probably do it.Cheers

if its sand cement ,wait for it to be dry then seal with sbr before laying ,

£30 sqm for ceramics and porc...anything Natural that needs sealing, wet cutting etc £40.
