floor base

hi pricing up a job only a standard bath floor ground floor maisonette 2.5 m2 go to remove old lino and replace with shiny new tiles :smilewinkgrin: but under the lino is rotted damp chip board should come up fairly easy but what would be the cheapest base to put back down i need to bring it level to the existing height so cant just tile onto the base concrete also any tips to removing this horrid stuff ! im poss looking at the hardi board ???

how is the chipboard fixed to the concrete base ?

havnt a clue i can only asume its stuck down it looks like chip board :?

well if it is concrete them i would flood the floor after setting heights with SLC.

Remove the chipboard and insulation , frame the floor out with CLS , fixed to substrate... re-install insulation between frame work and then install new chipboard and hardibacker... cheapest way..
