Floor buffer

Hi guys, I'm in the market for a floor buffer/polisher and need your advice. I have found one for a decent price but it's 350rpm, is this ok for buffing marble? Ideally I would be able to use it for removing laitence off anhydrite screed aswell , using a different pad.
Am I on the right lines here or am I talking complete gook?

It's a difficult question to answer as floor buffer on its own won't really do either job you are looking to do , polishing marble will require specialist pads and extra weights and most buffing machine are quite light weight and the pads need weight and water to work effectively , removing laitence will also need either wire brush attachments or metal bond diamond pads , buffing machines are great for cleaning and waxing floors though

If I have read that Gary, with respect, I think he just wants to make the marble shine after a job to give the complete finished look, not polish the marble throughout the grit stages. I may be wrong though !

I think there are pads that exhisting that will give a marble floor a polish on a low speed floor cleaner at 150? Not tried them though?? I think there kgs pads!.
not my field though..
