Floor prep....

So tell me about this Ditra matting then. I know what it is but Ive never used it. I understand that its a de-coupling membrane but if its adhered to the substrate, how is this decoupled?

Floor joists are 4x2 not 5 as I first thought and there is deflection in the mid part of the floor when its stood on. Never had experience of dealing with a floor this bad!

Will 18mm ply and ditra remove the deflection issues?

best to remove floorboards then nog and strengthen joists to remove deflection then use wp ply 22mm screwed down for a solid floor

Cant nog the entire floor due to amount of pipwork in the void mate

Ditra will do nothing for deflection.
