Floor Preperation

I have just removed the cork tiles from my kitchen floor in preperation for new tiles and wondered if I needed to remove all of the old tile adhesive?

The adhesive is only approx 2mm thick and dry and solid. I am finding it almost impossible to remove.

Can anyone advise me if I need to remove the adhesive or can a sealer be placed over it in preperation for the new tiles.

What sort of adhesive is that ?

I dont know what type it is , but it must have been down a long time.
It looks like a glue rather than a cement based product

I would be inclined to remove all tiles and give it a coat of self levelling compound. Dont forget to prime the floor 1st ...NOT PVA

Use a SBR primer.

I forgot to mention i have a concrete floors is this product ok for this

It will be fine although it has a minimum of 3mm.

It's a synthetic/polymer rubber adhesive

Does anyone know how to remove this synthetic/polymer rubber adhesive in a easy way rather than going down slc route
