Floor spacers?

Tiling my own wetroom tomorrow, want to line up wall tile with floor tile especially on one wall, will 3m/m spacers be ok for both wall and floor, using spf on both and mapei ultracolour grout? Usually use 4m/m on floors but in this situation prefer 3m/m also there is ufh which is below Ditra on the floor.Cheers

had jobs where customers prefered 2mm on floors, i know its not ideal but they were happy with it and after all its there ££££

2mm or 3mm not a lot of size difference .....

They will in time. He'll be lying in his bath one day and start to realise the effort that went into it.

Off topic a bit but I managed to get some holes drilled in a couple of tiles to accomodate some chrome ch pipes coming out of the floor. I asked the customer if they minded me risking flooding the room to do this as the ch wasn't going to be drained. He was happy to take the risk. I probably lost about 1/2 a pint of water in the process, and it looks really neat.

Customer, who is a bit of a perfectionist, can spot a squint tile or line at 100 paces, was really chuffed.

i use 3mm on all calibrated floor tiles now, 2mm on polished or rectified as long as the floor hasnt too many hills in it!

I never ask a customer what size grout line they want on the floor. I always use 3mm, unless they specify otherwise..........

3mm is as narrow as I'd go on a floor with ufh

I ask the customer and advise, It beats them saying "I thought the joints would be wider thats how they had them in the shop"

have you noticed tumbled tiles are always the same size on shop displays too!

It surprises me how some shops sell anythin with the nick of some of their displays!
