Hi,

I have ALOT of floor tiles to take off. I have read a few forums but there seems to conflicting messages. The tiles are on concrete. Some say I need a Hammer drill but u have also seen a large electric floor scraper. Any tips? I'm pretty strong but don't have man muscle, do you think I can do it myself!:yikes:

Best thing to do is try. It really depends on what adhesive was used and the condition of the subfloor and how tough the tiles are etc. Each job can be different when it comes to taking up tiles which is why most tilers will charge a day rate, not a meter rate.

Give it a try with hammer and chisel. Then try your electric thing. Then try the floor scraper, and see what works best.
