Floor tile spacing?

Hi guys

I have the lash kit to lay my floor tiles (330x330)

They space as STD for 2mm

Is this too thin?

I'm doing my wall tiles with 3mm, shall I match the floor with 3mm also?

BS standard minimum size for floors is 3mm. Lash kit has the potential to leave voids beneath the tile!! What substrate is it and is the UFH?

Yup read about the bs standard. The substrate is marmox backer board. There will be UFH and mapei renovation plan screed over that.

Some guys on here used the lash kit successfully. I bought a raimondi slanted 10mm trowel for extra coverage and will back butter the ceramics so should be full coverage.

Ill use my 3mm brick bond spacers then as well as the lash kit.

Whats under the marmox? If it wwas me I would probably have a bigger joint if you have UFH and if it is a timber floor under the marmox it would be 5mm!

I would be reluctant to go with 3mm in that case, but the choice is yours. Maybe see what other members think before you proceed?

if your floor is perfectly flat as it should be with all the prep you've put into it i don't see the need for lash clips. i'm led to believe they're to aid levelling the tiles on an uneven floor. as for the spacers i normally use 2/3mm for walls and 4/5 mm for floors. i rarely do different unless the customer requires or the tiles do.
