Floor Tiling

When laying floor tiles do you have to put backer board down if it is a concrete floor or just when it is a wooden floor:regular_smile:

he was just having a joke mate but if its your first time tiling take your time and make sure that floor is level!

Yes it is my first time Tiling after seeing some of the complaints and pictures that come up on the forum i thought i would ask so not to make any mistakes. As the tiling is for myself i still dont want to do it wrong, thank you for your reply.

well post some pics of before and after mate when your done any other questions will be answered but if you dont actually know how to tile i would suggest at least watching a few vids on how to spread the adhesive ect

Hi I have done a bit of wall tiling but not floor tiling, Ive been told floor tiling is the hardest to do. I will take your advice, I will also look for a floor tiling course to get on as well thanks for all your help and advice.

remember prep mate your tiled floor will mirror the untiled floor if you get what i mean

Hi, they are stone tiles for my utility room small ext built on when we bought the house with concrete floor used to be outside wc and coal house i think will let u know size of tiles there about 300mm square

Just to jump in on this what is the different prep required regarding different floor finishes mainly the different concrete floors?
