tiler tom
We have all been there given quotes and heard nothing. But what would you do in this instance.
Was asked to quote a kitchen floor that was badly out of level. I told the customer it could be tiled but it would not look level as it was that bad. He was disappointed but his wife said they would discuss an alternative. I know it seems that I have turned work away but I didn't want the situation of doing the work and them not happy with the job and refusing payment.
The conversation turned to "do you tile walls", "how much for the kitchen splashback" when I gave them the price they seemed quite happy. I measured up and told them how many tiles to get. They then asked for a card with the promise to ring the next day with what they had decided. Later that evening I even let them know where they could get some specific trim from.
Could do with the work but do not want to appear pushy, what now ?

Sorry forgot to add if it isn't obvious the phone call never came.
