i think they get around 45k a year the drivers......sounds not bad to me

I do think that the time schedules they are given are a tad unfair though. And with the majority unable to meet the schedule the companies are making them even harder to meet and imposing a wage penalty for missed or late schedules...

There was a queue at a tesco's early this morning but I've driven by a few throughout the day and all seems fairly normal to be honest.

I'd be expecting them all to up their prices a few pence but they seem to be priced the same too.

Crazy really. There hasn't even been a strike. God help us if there is one!

I wouldn't be shocked if it was all a bit of a ploy for the government to get some tax money in. Or the oil companies knowing the price per barrel is high this month or something so they want to flog it all quickly.

The tankers sit in the sea until the price is high, then they dock and sell. You can see them in the sea all waiting if you go down devon way.

Anybody down there see them coming in?

where I have my diesel account was closed today, run out of fuel, I met the owners daughter when I was walking dog this afternoon and she said that tankers were only bringing in 2/3rds or so of what they should be doing, hence they ran out of fuel. I've still got half a tank in pick-up and Mrs filled her megane up before the panic buying started, but she car shares to work and it's other drivers turn this week so at least hers has a full tank.
