Had a job booked in today, good 1hr drive away. Huge floor that will take a good 4-5 days to lay.
Got there this morning and there is a note on the door:
"Mat, i have to work until 2 today so can you please ring me to rearrange a time to come"

As everyone says mate,just simply state your case as soon as possible to him that your gonna have to add on a day rate for all the trouble,he surely wouldn't expect his boss to turn around when he got to work one day and say to him sorry mate no work today soz.

got to a bathroom yesterday where walls were that bad you could push your hand through them. guy said cant you just stick the tiles on:mad2: i told him to get them dot and dabbed so he says fine it will be ready for tomorrow. got there this morning no boarding done and guy rings me and says i will be there in an hour and we can board it together. job was an hour away from home as well. needless to say when he got there i was long gone

sTARTED A JOB LAST WEEK AND TILED ONE WALL(KITCHEN SPLASHBACK),WENT TO OPEN ANOTHER BOX OF TILES AND TO MY HORROR THEY WERE A DIFFERENT COLOUR,YES YOU GUESSED IT THEY WANTED CHESS BOARD EFFECT.tHE CUSTOMER DIDNT TELL ME THIS BEFORE I STARTED THE JOB ,THEY DID HOWEVER GIVE ME EXTRA MONEY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE AND A £20 TIP SO WORKED OUT OK,JUST HAD TO WORK A COUPLE OF EXTRA HOURS...LOL:lol:

I started another bathroom in the hotel this morning and you should have seen the shape of the walls !! bananas ! this was number 6 and the rest were dead on so i rang the contractor and told him to get up to me to see the walls! he came and said he'll get the plasterer up tomorrow! lovely as i had to start tiling anyway,worked to 10pm last night on another job and am booked for 4 nights work next week,never been so bloody busy.

You should be checking the box's anyway bri....colour batches etc......tiles are like wallpaper they have colour codes.....
