You never know what is going on inside someone head, I guess the gutter press will be sympathetic today but digging the dirt soon enough.

Not at all, they are gathered out side the speed house hold trying to get a story ... no peace for the family to grieve.

The Dad of my best friend in Germany hanged himself, they found him in the open spiral staircase returning from school, absolutely dreadful. I had known him since I was 2 or so, he was very much like Gary, very very fit and sporty and fair and well liked, brilliant skier, handballer, sportsman through and through, very good looking, happily married, 3 healthy kids, and nobody knew he had been suffering from depression, if you had told me at any stage I wouldn't have believed it. He was around the same age. The family and my friend have never really recovered, it's just dreadful and I think, too, it's a supremely selfish act, but only if you can see outside of yourself still, severly depressed people just don't seem to be able to.
Very very sad, and knowing how this ripples through the community and makes everybody question everything, for years and lifetimes afterwards, well, I hope others who even think of it think again. They don't have to suffer anymore, but the rest of their family and friends will suffer forever. Horrible.

Terrible loss, selfish act is how I see suicide.
I know of people close who done the same and I have the same opinion.
It's the poor family and friends etc who suffer.
RIP Gary from a toon supporter.

I know some say suicide is the easy way out but it takes guts to hang ya self imo.. but it is still a life lost and what drove him to it ,if it is true only he and maybe his family will know..

Been tryin to gt my head round this all and i dont think anybody as the rite to say he was bein selfish nobobody knows wot as happened so it should left at that . The man was a true gent and player . RIP IN PEACE SPEEDO

its times like this it makes you think how short life can be makes you take stock of ur own life

We don't know what went on in his life or head but suicide is widely known to be a selfish act. Fact.
I pity people who do it for whatever reason.
A lot of religions don't look good on it either.
In most cases it's pure hell for all involved.
Just imagine what the family are going through.
