MICK the Tiler
Well it's been over a month since I posted and boy have I got some catching up to do. I'm Sorry to all those who have been waiting for more speedy tiler tips (Sorry Macten). It's been absolutely going CRAZY!! work wise down here I just can't keep up, I'm TOTALLY SHAGGED!! at the moment. Hope everyone is well and fixing plenty of tile and doing quality work. I look forward to seeing pics of all your hard efforts and trying to solve some of your troubles. My PM's at the moment are stacked right up (Sorry Fitzer) I'll get to answer all your questions shortly.
The latest project on the books which has been in the pipeline for about 6 months now is the tiling work on a 20 million dollar home right on the banks of the Brisbane River. The project has plenty of tiling styles to overcome, including stone floors, Dry pack stone walls, porcelain, granite, marble, mosaics, a 25m lap pool, 6 bathrooms with 3.6m ceilings, spa baths, steps, a large guest house and other requirements yet to be decided. I'm yet to get a start there but it's getting close so some good pics should be coming the forums way soon.
I Tried to price this job but found it way too complex and the builder and owner have accepted the fact that it will be far more cost effective if I work on a day rate, (Much to my relief I might add). A little less pressure for me and a superior job for the client (He can afford it )
Once again I hope everyone's well, keeping fit and strong and slapping those meters down like there's no tomorrow (I Know I have)
To Dan I'm lov'n the new forum layout mate I'm sure you and Dave, Gaz and all the other elite members and Mods have been doing a superb job holding the fort.
Cheers Fellas
